Village Tidy -- Volunteers needed (29th April 10am - 12:30)
Great Haseley Parish Council
We're looking to get some volunteers to help out with a village tidy day at 10:00 - 12:30 on Saturday 29th April, with some food being as a reward in the Village Hall afterwards.
Every year the Parish undertakes a Spring Clean where we have a general tidy up of all the high traffic or unsightly areas and undertake any maintenance needed on any of the community areas within the Parish. This year the Spring Clean will be on the 29th April, from 10:00 - 12:30.
With the upcoming Coronation weekend our Village Hall comittee is hard at work to prepare a fantastic event for all, to help get everything ready we're going to do the tidy up before the Coronation weekend, opposed to using 'The Big Help Out' country-wide day of volunteering later in May.
The tasks we urgently need to carry out during the Spring Clean are:
- Remove the rotted Climbing frame and Trim trail from Miss Cross Field.
- Repaint the benches in the Rec.
- Repair some broken benches around the Village.
- Litter Pick everywhere.
- Sweep Rectory Road outside the Village Hall and by the Horse Close Layby.
- Strim the weeds along footpaths.
- Wash the signage throughout the Villages.
All paints, brushes, strimmer, leaf-blower and bin bags will be provided. If volunteers could help by bringing their own:
- Pair of secateurs
- Brush
- Cloth and bucket of water
If those who are free and able to help could drop an email to davdl.ghpc@gmail.com / clerk@thehaseleys.co.uk so we could have an idea of numbers.
